Trial of the mastermind of the September 11 attacks will begin in June 2028

A U.S. military judge has decided that the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the self-proclaimed mastermind of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, will begin on June 5, 2028, nearly 25 years after the attacks. The trial will take place at the Naval Base in Guantánamo, where Mohammed and three accomplices — Ammar al-Baluchi, Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi — face charges in a process marked by years of delays.
André Ventura, during a visit to "alert political power," accused the Government of "failure" in resolving post-Kristin problems, considering that the delay represents "the State's failure" and that the most affected populations "were forgotten."
