72.8% of owners surveyed by Verisure reinforce the security of their second home after finishing their vacation

According to a study by the Verisure Home and Business Security Observatory, 72.8% of second home owners reinforce or pay special attention to the security of these properties during the summer months. With the end of the holidays, millions of second homes are left empty for weeks or months, making this issue one of the main concerns for owners. The study also indicates that this trend of strengthening security has been growing consecutively for three years.

IHRU puts 77 dwellings out to tender for affordable rental, some in Alentejo

The Instituto da Habitação e da Reabilitação Urbana (IHRU) has opened nine competitions to provide 77 housing units for affordable rent, distributed across 19 municipalities in the country, including Amadora, Aveiro, Beja, Évora, Lisbon, among others, with typologies ranging from T0 to T6. Applications are open until September 17 and must be submitted through the IHRU Arrenda Platform, after previously obtaining the Application Registration Certificate on the Housing Portal.

Church of the Monastery of Ferreira to undergo conservation works

The Church of the Monastery of Ferreira, in Paços de Ferreira, will undergo a conservation, preservation and enhancement intervention, with a base price of 332,767.47 euros and an execution period of 180 days. The public tender was launched by the Association of Municipalities of Vale do Sousa (VALSOUSA), with financing through European Union funds, and interested companies can submit proposals until September 14. The work requires qualification for the performance of restoration works on historical-artistic immovable property, with the winning proposal chosen based on technical merit (60%) and price (40%).
