Video surveillance tightens crime in Câmara de Lobos

The video surveillance system approved by the Republic Government will become operational in the city of Câmara de Lobos by March 2027, later extending to Estreito. This measure is part of a new security strategy for the region which also includes the hiring of private security and night guards. Thursday's edition of Diário also addresses the degradation of the Madeira Sports Centre's grass, with no prospect of recovery in the short term.
