Rain and thunder: 11 districts of Portugal under yellow warning

Eleven districts of mainland Portugal are today under yellow warning due to the forecast of sometimes heavy rain and thunderstorms, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA). The warning covers the districts of the interior north and centre, as well as part of the southern region, and is expected to last for most of the day. Authorities recommend caution to the population, especially in areas most vulnerable to flooding.

Nepal warns of new flood: river blocked by debris forms lake at risk of bursting
