Agricultural Federation of the Azores concerned about increase in agricultural diesel price

The Agricultural Federation of the Azores (FAA), led by Jorge Rita, expressed strong concern yesterday and criticized the Regional Government's decision to increase the price of agricultural diesel from September 1, rising from 1.422 euros to 1.585 euros per liter, which represents an increase of 16.3 cents. The FAA considered the measure "unjust" and called for its correction, warning about the negative impact on production costs in the regional agricultural sector.

Fosun more than doubles profit to 217 million in the first half

Fosun, the shareholder of Fidelidade and BCP, more than doubled its profit in the first half of 2024, totaling 217 million euros (1.7 billion yuan), an increase of 160.3% compared to the same period last year. Revenue remained stable at around 11,094 million euros, while investment in innovation and technology grew 16.7% to 4.2 billion yuan.
