Mota-Engil signs railway management in DRC to Lobito

The Portuguese construction company Mota-Engil signed a 30-year concession contract to operate a freight railway line from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Angola, as part of the Lobito Corridor. Mota-Engil Africa will be responsible for the operation, management and maintenance of the railway infrastructure for the transport of goods, minerals, liquids and gases during this period.
Portugal is going to buy 75 armored vehicles from Spain for the marines, in an investment of 120 million euros fully funded by the European Union. The first vehicles, manufactured in Spain, should start arriving in the country next year.
