Seven months after the passage of storm Kristin, the Tagus Valley remains "highly fragile," with bridges still under traffic restrictions, dikes that were temporarily repaired by the farmers themselves, and applications for reconstruction funds without any response from the authorities. The Ribatejo region faces enormous difficulties in recovering damaged infrastructure, with the effects of the storm still very present in the daily lives of the local population and agricultural activity.
