TSE judges next week case on Bolsonaro deepfake video

The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) will judge next week the action that questions the use of a video produced with artificial intelligence to reproduce the image and voice of former President Jair Bolsonaro during the convention that formalized his son Flavio Bolsonaro's candidacy for President. The Brazil Hope Federation (PT, PCdoB and PV) filed the action against the video shown on July 25, in which a digital representation of Bolsonaro declares support for his son's candidacy, stating at the beginning that the image and voice were produced by AI. The case is considered one of the main tests by the TSE on the use of artificial intelligence in electoral campaigns.
André Ventura, during a visit to "alert political power," accused the Government of "failure" in resolving post-Kristin problems, considering that the delay represents "the State's failure" and that the most affected populations "were forgotten."
