Huawei challenges Nvidia in selling chips to one of Africa's largest economies

Huawei, China's main competitor to Nvidia, proposed exporting more than 2,000 chips to Egypt, in an attempt to expand its presence in the African semiconductor market. This proposal comes in a context of geopolitical tension between the US and China, where restrictions imposed by the Biden Administration limited American chip exports to China, opening opportunities for Chinese companies like Huawei to fill that gap in emerging markets such as Egypt, one of Africa's largest economies.
The old shopping center Escala 4, located in the historic center of Santarém, will be transformed into an incubator and innovation center, with the project to be presented at Web Summit.
