Chinese Moonshot negotiates bringing its AI model, Kimi K3, to Microsoft, Amazon and Google clouds

Chinese startup Moonshot AI is in negotiations to bring its Kimi K3 artificial intelligence model to the cloud platforms of American giants Microsoft (Azure), Amazon (AWS), and Google Cloud, according to sources heard by Reuters. The company aims to receive up to 30% of the revenue generated by the use of the technology, although the talks are still at an early stage. The agreement would be strategic for Moonshot, which seeks to solve one of the main commercial challenges of Kimi K3 — the need for infrastructure to reach the global corporate market without having to build its own network of data centers. The American clouds would provide the necessary infrastructure, charging based on usage and passing on part of the value to the Chinese startup.
