Lawyer Marco Aurélio de Carvalho, who represents Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha, asked the Federal Police to open a new investigation into alleged leaks of confidential information from investigations into the alleged influence peddling involving President Lula's son. The petition, also signed by lawyer Reinaldo Santos de Almeida, from the Prerrogativas group, argues that information protected by judicial secrecy has been disclosed in a "fractional, recurring and chronologically adjusted manner to the electoral calendar." The lawyers cite as possible targets of the investigation Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), his deputy Alfredo Gaspar and the general coordinator of the campaign, Rogério Marinho, and ask the Federal Police to reconstruct the "chain of custody" of the material and identify who had access to the documents at the various agencies through which they passed.
