Candidate Douglas Ruas (PL), endorsed by Flávio Bolsonaro in the race for governor of Rio de Janeiro, said his campaign will seek votes from voters "independent of political spectrum," after a Quaest poll showed that although he leads among Bolsonaro supporters, he does not repeat the same performance among the broader right-wing electorate. In the non-Bolsonaro right-wing segment, Ruas has 28%, compared to 29% for Eduardo Paes (PSD), who leads the race with 37%. In the presidential race in the state, Bolsonaro appears numerically ahead of Lula, Paes's ally.
André Ventura, during a visit to "alert political power," accused the Government of "failure" in resolving post-Kristin problems, considering that the delay represents "the State's failure" and that the most affected populations "were forgotten."
