The Public Prosecutor's Office of São Paulo filed charges against 16 people suspected of participating in a criminal organization dedicated to diverting methanol for fuel adulteration in Greater São Paulo, between 2017 and 2025. The charges are part of Operation Hidden Carbon, which investigates fraud in the fuel sector involving criminal organizations and PCC members.
