A couple of entrepreneurs was sentenced to pay R$ 3.2 million to comedians Danilo Gentili and Diogo Portugal for fraud, embezzlement, and misappropriation of funds. Robson Leiva Santos and Talita Bueno Fonzar were responsible for managing the company "The Comedy Club Corp." in Florida, in the United States, which was supposed to build a performance venue for Brazilian comedians. However, the construction never got off the ground. The sentence was ratified by the STJ after conviction in the American judicial system, and has entered the execution phase in the 14th Federal Civil Court of São Paulo.
