Madeira and Azores regions secure another 500 tonnes of bigeye tuna

The Regional Governments of Madeira and the Azores coordinated efforts with the Republic's Government to obtain an additional reinforcement of 500 tonnes of bigeye tuna quota for 2026, allowing the reopening of fishing for this species. The Regional Secretariat of Agriculture and Fisheries confirmed the allocation of this additional quota.
