Lula expresses solidarity to flood victims in Nepal and China

President Lula expressed solidarity with the victims of the floods that hit Nepal and Tibet in China, leaving at least 101 dead and hundreds missing. In a statement, Lula offered condolences to the governments of both countries and to the families of the victims, noting that the images of the disaster cause shock and distress. The flash flood hit the Bhotekoshi River, destroying homes, roads, bridges, schools and power facilities in the region near the border between the two countries.
