INEM technicians' union maintains two days of strike for now

The Union of INEM Pre-Hospital Emergency Technicians decided to maintain two scheduled strike days on September 14 and 28, despite a meeting held with the Minister of Health and INEM's board of directors. The technicians are protesting against the resource reorganization measures adopted by the institute's governing board, which they consider harmful to the functioning of medical emergency services.

Fires: Government recognizes Vouzela and Valpaços blazes as natural disaster

The Portuguese Government recognized as a natural disaster the rural fires that affected the municipalities of Vouzela and Valpaços between July and August, allocating ten million euros to support the affected agricultural holdings.
