Ireland is considering reversing its historic opposition to nuclear energy, after decades of legal prohibition, due to the growing energy consumption of data centers driven by the artificial intelligence revolution. Dublin faces the need to decide whether to pave the way for nuclear energy as a way to meet unprecedented energy demand, at a time when the country's electrical capacity is under strong pressure.
André Ventura, during a visit to "alert political power," accused the Government of "failure" in resolving post-Kristin problems, considering that the delay represents "the State's failure" and that the most affected populations "were forgotten."
