Lula decides to harden his tone regarding suspicions involving Lulinha in attempt to distance himself from electoral damage of the case

President Lula decided to harden his tone regarding the suspicions involving his son Fabio Luis Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha, in an attempt to minimize the electoral damage caused by the investigations into influence-peddling suspicions. Campaign members state that Lula is convinced of the need to be more incisive in affirming that he will not interfere with the investigations, reinforce that "no one is above the law" in his government, and that he will not swap delegates or investigators to benefit his son. With the advancement of investigations showing suspicions about Lulinha's actions in partnership with a lobbyist, the topic has become one of the most vulnerable points of the reelection campaign. Lula will also attempt to compare his posture to that of former President Bolsonaro, who in 2020 stated that he would swap even the Justice Minister to protect his family.
