House prices register biggest ever rise. The m2 is above 2,200 euros

House prices in Portugal reached a new all-time high in July, with the median value per square meter exceeding 2,200 euros, representing the biggest increase ever. Lisbon continues to be one of the most expensive areas in the country, where the square meter exceeded 4,800 euros.

Castelo Branco transforms old boarding house into student residence

IHRU puts 77 dwellings out to tender for affordable rental, some in Alentejo

The Instituto da Habitação e da Reabilitação Urbana (IHRU) has opened nine competitions to provide 77 housing units for affordable rent, distributed across 19 municipalities in the country, including Amadora, Aveiro, Beja, Évora, Lisbon, among others, with typologies ranging from T0 to T6. Applications are open until September 17 and must be submitted through the IHRU Arrenda Platform, after previously obtaining the Application Registration Certificate on the Housing Portal.

Church of the Monastery of Ferreira to undergo conservation works

The Church of the Monastery of Ferreira, in Paços de Ferreira, will undergo a conservation, preservation and enhancement intervention, with a base price of 332,767.47 euros and an execution period of 180 days. The public tender was launched by the Association of Municipalities of Vale do Sousa (VALSOUSA), with financing through European Union funds, and interested companies can submit proposals until September 14. The work requires qualification for the performance of restoration works on historical-artistic immovable property, with the winning proposal chosen based on technical merit (60%) and price (40%).
