Court rejects Atalaia's action against newspaper related to salary paid to Albuquerque's daughter

The Judicial Court of Madeira rejected a civil action filed by the Association Atalaia Living Care against the newspaper Correio da Manhã (Medialivre), journalist Egídio Carreira and three former officials of the institution, acquitting all defendants. The ruling concludes that the news article published in April 2024 about the salary paid to Albuquerque's daughter did not impute any wrongdoing to the association and that no concrete damage to its image or reputation was demonstrated.
