Das Parlament lehnt die von der PP geforderten Ministerauftritte ab, nachdem Sánchez' Auftritt auf den 3. vorgezogen wurde
The Spanish Congress of Deputies rejected all five requests for ministers to appear before the house presented by the PP during the Permanent Deputation session held on Wednesday. The petitions concerned the First and Third Deputy Prime Ministers, Carlos Cuerpo and Sara Aagesen, as well as the Ministers of the Interior and Defence, Fernando Grande-Marlaska and Margarita Robles. All the requests were defeated thanks to the votes against from the PSOE and most of its partners. The opposition was demanding explanations on various matters, including the immigration regularisation approved this year — which is tangentially related to the Ceuta crisis — the wildfires that once again affected the country during the summer, and the extension of the operating life of the Almaraz nuclear power plant, approved by the government surprisingly during the summer period.
