Exactly one year ago, Fabrizio Brignani became the first Italian footballer at CD Castellón. The orellut club, with over a century of history, had never had Italian players in their ranks until the arrival of the defender.
After Brignani, the club continued to bet on the Italian market as one of their preferred sources. That same summer, playmaker Tommaso de Nipoti followed, and the Italian-Brazilian midfielder Ronaldo Pompeu can also be included in this equation.
This season, CD Castellón reinforced their squad with Italian players once again. Playmaker Antonio Gala was joined, this same week, by defender Federico Ceccherini, thus increasing the number of transalpine footballers at the club.
