Carlo Ancelotti is in Europe this weekend to follow three matches and observe Brazilian players before the next national team call-up. On Friday, the Italian coach was at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy to watch the 2-2 draw between Lille and PSG in the French Ligue 1. He was accompanied by assistant Paul Clement. The match marked the official debut of Davide Ancelotti, Carlo's son, in charge of Lille at home.

Ancelotti will continue his observation agenda on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he will watch the match between Tottenham and Newcastle in the Premier League. On Sunday, he will also follow the match between Chelsea and Brighton, completing his trilogy of European games.

At the same time, members of the Brazilian national team coaching staff will be at stadiums in Brazil on Sunday to watch Athletico-PR vs Fluminense, Flamengo vs Botafogo, and Corinthians vs Santos. All this observation work is part of the preparation for the September international break friendlies.

In addition to following the games, Ancelotti met in Europe with members of the coaching staff who work on the continent. The Italian has been in charge of the Brazilian national team since May 2024 and continues his process of getting to know the players available for the upcoming commitments of the national team.
