Atalanta officially announced the return of Franck Kessié, captain of the Ivory Coast national team, to the Italian club. The player returns to the team where he had previously played.

Kessié arrives from Al-Ahli Jeddah, a club in Saudi Arabia, where he had been in recent times before returning to European football.

The Ivorian midfielder thus returns to Atalanta a decade after his first spell at the club, which helped launch his career in European football. The contractual details of the deal were not disclosed in the announcement.
