The Leiria Academic Racing Team, from the University of Leiria (ULO), was present at the Formula Student Spain competition, which took place in Spain. This participation represented the team's debut at one of the most prestigious events in the European automotive engineering academic calendar.
During the event, the team presented its latest electric single-seater, the TEK-26e model. This prototype was developed entirely by students from the higher education institution in Leiria, demonstrating the innovation and research work carried out by the team members.
The team's performance at the competition exceeded initial expectations by achieving a position among the top 20. This result constitutes an important milestone for the Leiria Academic Racing Team, consolidating its place among the reference academic teams in the international Formula Student landscape.
Participation in this international competition allowed students to apply theoretical knowledge acquired in an academic environment to a practical and competitive project, strengthening their professional training in the field of automotive engineering.
