The death toll from flooding that hit Nepal has risen to 633, according to Nepalese authorities. Of this total, at least 626 deaths were recorded in Nepal and seven on the Chinese side.
Authorities continue to search for survivors among the rubble, but the number of missing remains high, at 2,426 people. Among the missing are more than 500 foreigners.
The natural catastrophe caused massive destruction in several regions of the country, forcing thousands of people to flee their homes in search of safety.
