Hezbollah leader Naïm Qassem reaffirmed today that the movement rejects the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, ensuring that the pro-Iranian group refuses to "surrender," despite being weakened by two wars with the Israeli army. The speech was broadcast at night by Hezbollah's channel, al-Manar.
Qassem stated categorically: "We are against the framework agreement and call for its overthrow," demonstrating the uncompromising position of the Shiite movement regarding the negotiated pact.
The agreement in question was signed on June 26, under the auspices of the United States, and provides that the Lebanese army restore its authority in southern Lebanon.
