Interpol at Meo Kalorama: on the day of the new album, the old songs came through

Expresso29 August 2026 at 01:13

Interpol returned to Lisbon three years after their last visit to the Portuguese capital, performing at the Meo Kalorama festival. The concert took place on the same day the band released their new album, called "This Mirror Weighs a Ton".

The American band performed before an audience that showed greater enthusiasm for songs from their older albums, namely from the album "Turn on the Bright Lights". These classic tracks were the ones that provoked the most reaction among the spectators present.

However, Interpol's performance did not meet expectations, as, according to the article, the American musicians, "as usual, did not make an effort," suggesting a forgettable performance or one without much energy.
