The Vasco management awaits judicial authorization for the release of a R$ 150 million loan requested two weeks ago. The club expects the Justice to release the funds between this Friday and next Monday. With this money, Vasco intends to keep finances in order and pay off debts that could result in transfer ban, that is, the prohibition of registering new players.
Vasco breached the agreement recently homologated at CNRD (Câmara Nacional de Resolução de Disputas), CBF's dispute resolution chamber, by not depositing the first installment of payment to creditors. According to the investigation, the projected cash flow foresaw the payment of R$ 4.12 million last Tuesday, the 25th. The total debt is due precisely next Monday.
SAF executives informed that, even without the loan, the amounts will be paid to creditors. However, the non-entry of funds led to the postponement of some payments, including those related to the signing of players.
One of those affected by the delay is Bruno Duarte, striker for Red Star Belgrade, from Serbia, who will only have the first installment of his transfer paid after the loan release.
