Norwegian Andreas Leknessund achieved the first Grand Tour victory of his career by winning a stage of the Vuelta a España. This victory represents an important milestone in the career of the young 23-year-old rider.
Tadej Pogacar reinforced his position as leader of the Vuelta general classification. The Slovenian thus keeps the yellow jersey and remains the main favorite for overall victory in the Spanish race.
In the general classification, Pogacar leads with an advantage of 3 minutes and 50 seconds over Spanish rider Enric Mas, who holds second place. Slovenian Primoz Roglic completes the provisional podium, 4 minutes and 50 seconds behind the leader.
