The Norwegian Andreas Leknessund won a stage at the Vuelta a España in a mountain stage in the Sierra de Teruel. The race finished at the Valdelinares ski resort, with Leknessund crossing the finish line with a black crape as a tribute to the death of King Harald V of Norway.
The stage featured five mountain passes and attracted large crowds along the roadside, creating a festive atmosphere in the cycling competition.
Leknessund dedicated the victory to King Harald V, who recently passed away, running with the visible mourning sign throughout the competition.
Regarding the general classification, the Slovenian Tadej Pogačar maintained the undisputed leadership of the race, continuing to wear the red leader's jersey of the Vuelta.
