Portugal will acquire 75 tactical vehicles from Spain in a contract worth 133 million euros. The purchase is intended for Portuguese naval marines and will be financed with European funds.
The Portuguese Ministry of Defence announced that the equipment will be delivered over a period running between 2027 and 2029. The contract represents a significant investment in the modernization of the Portuguese Navy's ground capabilities.
The transaction falls within the context of Iberian cooperation in defence matters and the funding made available by the European Union for military modernization projects between Member States. This type of joint acquisition allows for the optimization of resources and reinforces interoperability between the armed forces of both countries.
