Brussels approves 285 million euro Italian support for agriculture and fisheries

Brussels approved an Italian aid scheme worth 285 million euros for the agriculture and fisheries sectors. The decision was made by the European Commission under European state aid rules.

The aid scheme aims to mitigate the impact of rising fuel and fertilizer prices used in the agricultural sector. In the fisheries and aquaculture sector, the support also aims to compensate for the rise in fuel prices affecting these activities.
