Calema at the opening concert of the academic year at the University of Coimbra

The musical duo Calema will perform at the opening concert of the academic year at the University of Coimbra, which will take place on September 9, at 8:30 PM, at Largo da Porta Férrea. The opening of the show will be by Big Band Rags, from the Academic Tunny of UC, and entry is free, with no need to collect a ticket in advance.

The concert is part of the Welcome and Integration Week for new students at the University of Coimbra, which runs from September 7 to 11 with initiatives across all Faculties and Departments. Before the show, welcome messages will be delivered by the Rector of UC, Amílcar Falcão, and by the president of the General Directorate of the Academic Association of Coimbra, José Machado.

The Welcome Week marks the beginning of the 2026/27 academic year, after enrollments for all new students – placed at the institution through the National Access Competition to Higher Education – took place in person and online between Monday and Thursday.

O dueto musical Calema vai actuar no concerto de abertura do ano lectivo da Universidade de Coimbra, que decorrerá dia 9 de Setembro, a partir das 20h30, no Largo da Porta Férrea. O espectáculo – com abertura pela Big Band Rags (da Tuna Académica da UC) – tem entrada livre, sem necessidade de levantamento prévio de bilhete.

O concerto de abertura do ano lectivo – antecedido pelas mensagens de boas-vindas por parte do Reitor da UC, Amílcar Falcão, e do presidente da Direcção-Geral da Associação Académica de Coimbra, José Machado – está integrado na Semana de Acolhimento e Integração dos novos estudantes da Universidade de Coimbra, que se realiza entre 7 e 11 de Setembro, com iniciativas em todas as Faculdades e Departamentos. A Semana de Acolhimento e Integração marca o início do ano lectivo 2026/27 na Universidade de Coimbra, depois das matrículas para todos os novos estudantes, colocados na instituição através do Concurso Nacional de Acesso ao Ensino Superior, terem decorrido esta semana, entre segunda e quinta-feira, em formato presencial e online.
