Selena Gomez is contesting the allegations filed by five investors in Wondermind, a mental health platform the singer founded with her mother five years ago. The investors claim they were deceived out of approximately $1.2 million after being told that Gomez would be directly involved in building the company as Chief Marketing Officer.
The singer's attorney, Matthew Rosengart, requested that Selena Gomez be completely removed from the case. According to him, the allegations are "frivolous" and the artist should never have been "dragged" into the dispute.
Rosengart also claims that the investors' allegations are "vague, generalized, and contradictory" and argues that Gomez never agreed to run the company or take on the responsibilities attributed to her.
