Enzo Fernández was left out of the squad list for Chelsea's match against Luton Town, in the English League Cup, and this absence has reignited speculation about his future. The Argentine midfielder has caught Manchester City's attention, who are considering presenting an offer before the transfer window closes, according to the English press.
According to Sky Sports, City are studying a move for the 25-year-old World Cup winner, while Chelsea would be willing to listen to any potential offer. The movement comes after Enzo made it clear, before the start of the season, his desire to leave Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso denied any connection between the decision not to call up the player and a possible transfer. The Chelsea boss stated that he personally chose not to select the Argentine.
