A couple was arrested in flagrante delicto during an operation by the Santa Catarina Civil Police carried out on Thursday (27) by the Navegantes Police Delegation. The operation aimed to combat the manipulation and adulteration of medications, especially weight loss pens.

The man, 45 years old, and the woman, 34 years old, had their residential and commercial addresses in the city of Navegantes searched by police teams. The agents executed a search and seizure warrant and found a large quantity of illicit products at the location.

With the operation, the arrest in flagrante delicto was decreed for the commission of the crime of falsifying, corrupting, adulterating, or altering products intended for therapeutic or medicinal purposes. The maximum penalty for this type of crime was highlighted by the police.
