Daycare centers in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo show a wide variation in monthly fees, which can range from less than R$1,000 to more than R$7,000, depending on the region and type of institution. GLOBO launched the "Daycare Guide," a tool that brings together approximately 300 early childhood education schools in both capitals, allowing parents to search for options according to their needs and budget.
The tool offers detailed information about each institution, including monthly fees, operating hours, location, infrastructure, and teaching methodology. Users can filter schools and customize their search to find the best daycare or preschool option for their children.
Regarding price ranges, most part-time units, with 4 to 5 hours of classes per day, charge monthly fees between R$1,000 and R$3,000. For full-time care, with more than seven hours of attendance, the most common price range is between R$3,000 and R$5,000.
The most expensive units are usually located in upscale areas of the cities and have more complete infrastructure. Choosing a school involves several factors beyond price, such as location, quality of teaching, and structure offered to students.
