The floods in Nepal and Tibet caused almost 500 dead, according to the latest count. More than 1500 people are missing following the catastrophe.
The United States Geological Survey indicated that the tragedy was caused by a glacial collapse, which triggered a vast debris flow in the region.
Chinese authorities suspended the rescue operation in Tibet due to the high risk of new floods, which hinders efforts to find survivors.
The catastrophe affects both Nepal and the Tibet region, in China, causing one of the worst natural disasters in the region in recent years.
