Gabriel Chadan will play the lead role of Lindoso, a pimp, in the new Globoplay telenovela called "Lost Paradise." The plot was created by George Moura and Sergio Goldenberg and will be based on four plays by playwright Nelson Rodrigues: "Bonitinha, mas ordinária," "A Woman Without Sin," "All Nudity Shall Be Punished," and "The Seven Kittens."
The telenovela will have 40 episodes and will be set in present-day Rio de Janeiro. Filming will begin in September under the direction of Joana Jabace. Juan Paiva was cast to play Edgar, one of the protagonists of the story.
Edgar is in love with Ritinha, played by Larissa Bocchino, but becomes involved with Maria Cecília, portrayed by Alanis Guillen. Maria Cecília is the daughter of Werneck, played by Alexandre Nero, and sister of Heitor, played by Juliano Floss. Eduardo Sterblitch will play Peixoto, who will also have a relationship with Maria Cecília. The cast also includes Maeve Jinkings, Joálisson Cunha, Vilma Melo and Ricardo Teodoro, among others.
