To defend lynching is to turn the world upside down

Last Tuesday, a student was beaten by classmates at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The aggressors lynched a young man who was wearing a shirt with symbols associated with Nazism. The video of the attack, reproduced by the press, shows the student on the ground, kicked by about ten classmates. The young man managed to get up and escape the building, but was caught by the mob and attacked again on the sidewalk. The article questions why this violent and cowardly lynching on a university campus is not widely condemned, and suggests that, on the contrary, the act is endorsed and applauded.
