Moscow criticizes lack of impartiality of international court after Mladic's death

Moscow criticized the lack of impartiality and political motivations of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and its successor, after the death of Ratko Mladic was confirmed. Russia expressed its disagreement with the decision of the judicial institutions to refuse to grant parole to the former Bosnian-Serb military leader. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and its successor entity were targets of Russian criticism, which denounced the lack of neutrality in these decisions. Ratko Mladic, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Bosnian war (1992-1995), died today, having passed away while serving his sentence.
