Bernardo Valente commented that the announcement of Ukraine's death is greatly exaggerated, arguing that Ukrainian forces continue to achieve significant results on the ground despite the difficulties faced.
The analyst noted that Ukraine faces a severe shortage of Patriot interceptor missiles, which limits the country's ability to stop Russian ballistic attacks. This shortage of air defense equipment constitutes one of the main military challenges that Kyiv currently faces.
Despite these limitations and Russian advances in the Donbas region, Valente highlighted that Ukrainian forces have managed to recover approximately 700 square kilometers of territory this year, demonstrating counteroffensive capability.
The comment comes in the context of a broader debate about Ukraine's military and strategic situation, with Valente arguing that predictions of the country's imminent defeat are premature and do not reflect the reality on the ground.
