STJ begins trial on petition for Alexandre Nardoni and Anna Jatobá's return to prison following neighbors' petition

The LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Association of São Paulo brought to the Superior Court of Justice a request for Alexandre Nardoni and Anna Carolina Jatobá to return to prison. The action was motivated by a petition organized by residents of the Santana neighborhood in the North Zone of São Paulo, who complained about the former couple's presence in the area.

Attorney Angelo Carbone, who represents the entity, stated that the conditions imposed by the open regime were being violated. According to him, Alexandre Nardoni was causing problems in the neighborhood and in his own father's building, confronting neighbors and challenging the community.

The writ of mandamus began being heard this Thursday (27) by the 5th Panel of the STJ and is expected to continue until September 2. The accusation maintains that the conditions established for serving the sentence in open regime were violated.
