Lousã hosts second day of Summer CEmp 2026 dedicated to culture, youth and Europe

Lousã hosted the second day of the 8th edition of Summer CEmp 2026, an event dedicated to culture, youth and Europe, promoted by the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal with the support of the Municipality of Lousã. Throughout the day, various reflection and debate initiatives took place about the present and future of Europe, with the presence of the Municipal Executive.
Luís Tadeu Silva, an 18-year-old, achieved the maximum grade of 20 out of 20 in secondary school and will be enrolling in the Aerospace Engineering course at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), becoming the first engineer in the family. According to him, the secret to his academic success is "discipline and work".
The South African Ministry of Health warned that more than a third of babies in the country had not received any vaccines at the beginning of the year, calling the vaccination coverage level "alarming." The proportion of unvaccinated children under one year old tripled from 12.1% in 2017 to 36.3% between January and April 2026, representing unprecedented growth in under a decade, which raises great concern among health authorities.
