The H-35 helicopter from Civil Protection was deployed to rescue a Kazakh tourist, approximately 30 years old, who suffered a fall on a trail leading to Pico Ruivo, in Madeira. The rescue took place during the night, with rescue teams approaching the location where the victim was found, conscious but unable to move independently.
PSP was called to the sports holiday camp of the Maia City Council after a suspicious substance was found in the backpack of a participating child. Authorities collected the product for laboratory analysis and are investigating how the substance got into the minor's backpack, in a manner still unknown.

Nepal has already recovered 389 bodies, while Chinese authorities reported only three dead on the Tibetan side, generating discrepancies in the official numbers. Authorities also warn of the risk of new flash floods in the region.
