A garbage collector from Comlurb, João Batista Paulino Tavares, entered the water during a high tide in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, and rescued a dog that was being carried by the current. The moment was recorded on video and shared on the company's social media. The high tide caused the water to advance over the sand, the boardwalk and the bike path. After the rescue, the animal's owner showed up to reunite with it, and the story had a happy ending. Comlurb has kept teams mobilized on the waterfront since Monday (24).
