'Unfair management': Uefa prepares charges against Infantino over company project to control rights of major tournaments, agency says

Uefa is preparing a complaint to Swiss Justice against FIFA president Gianni Infantino for alleged "dishonest management" related to a plan to transfer commercial rights of major football competitions to a new company called FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), which would control the rights of the men's World Cup, women's World Cup, and Club World Cup. According to the European entity, the plan was publicly announced on July 28 without consultation with the FIFA Council, Uefa, other confederations, or the 211 member associations, having been developed in secret and subsequently abandoned during the summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
FC Porto and Sporting will learn their opponents in the first phase of the Champions League this Thursday in Monaco, in a draw that will define the eight groups of the competition. The group stage will begin between September 8 and 10 and will continue until the end of January, in a calendar that spans much of the sporting season.
