Mozambique Electricity creates rapid response system for natural disasters

Electricidade de Mocambique (EDM) announced the creation of a rapid response system to deal with natural disasters, in an attempt to mitigate the impacts of climate change on the country's electrical infrastructure. The state-owned company's representative stated that climate change represents one of the main obstacles to achieving universal electrification in Mozambique by 2030, requiring continuous investments in the resilience of the electrical grid.
